This project was a full gut renovation, transforming an outdated bathroom into a modern, serene retreat. The existing oversized jetted tub was removed and replaced with a sleek, free-standing soaker tub for a more open, contemporary look.
One of the major challenges was correcting the subfloor, which was two inches out of level. Our team applied an extensive mud layer to create a perfectly even foundation before continuing the installation. The customer also requested a simplified shower design, replacing the previous setup with a more minimalist aesthetic. We installed a custom corner seat and a recessed niche with two shelves for convenience and clean lines.
A Schluter heated floor system was installed beneath durable, porcelain wood-look plank tile, combining warmth with visual appeal. The space was further enhanced with two new mirrors and coordinating wall sconces, along with a new vanity, quartz countertop, and toilet.
We also installed a new, quiet exhaust fan and a fresh cover on the baseboard heater for a more refined finish. Crown molding was added to the ceiling for an elegant touch, and six-inch wood baseboards with quarter-round trim were installed for a classic, finished look.
Additional details included re-caulking the existing skylight to ensure weather-tight integrity and repainting the entire bathroom to tie everything together into a clean, modern space.
